Euphorbia hirta

Cỏ sữa lớn lá (Euphorbia hirta) is a small annual or perennial herb with upright stems reaching 30 to 40 centimetres, pale red and covered in soft yellowish hairs. The narrow, lance-shaped leaves, 2 to 3 centimetres long, are finely toothed and often flushed red among the green; the tiny whitish-pink flowers sit in tight round clusters in the leaf axils, and the seeds are small, pale red and rough-surfaced. It grows wild all over Vietnam, favouring gravel and stony ground like its small-leaved relative cỏ sữa nhỏ lá, and it is the whole plant that is gathered and dried.
