Phaeanthus vietnamensis
Phaeanthus (Phaeanthus vietnamensis) is a shrub or small tree of two to ten metres in the custard-apple family, endemic to central Vietnam and known only from Thừa Thiên-Huế and Quảng Nam. Its hairless leaves are oblong to lance-shaped, 9 to 16 cm long and finely pointed, with nine to eleven pairs of side veins. Flowers with yellow inner petals hang in pairs on long stalks from May to December, ripening into small oval fruits that turn from yellow to plum. It grows in the light shade of open and secondary forest below 300 m. The leaves are the part picked; the species is uncommon and often collected from the wild.
